Our story began 16 years ago, with the identification of an opportunity: the large reserves of energy of Pakistan’s fast-growing youth population. To cater this need, an idea of a youth summit was conceived to educate & engage the youth, while also creating a judgement-free space where ideas would flow & identities form.
Today, the Young Leaders Conference is the most-awaited youth event of Pakistan, attended by youngsters from every corner of the country and from around the world. The Young Leaders Conference is an annual 6-day residential summit designed to be a rigorous and thought-provoking leadership training program. At YLC, aspiring leaders are exposed to a diverse international gathering helping them to understand, analyse and solve pertinent issues.
Over the years, YLC has featured speakers and experts from the world of politics, governance, business, development, academia, technology, music, movies, culture, media, marketing and advertising. These experts have engaged in vigorous debates with the participants, debating issues of local, national and global relevance.
It was the success of YLC 2002 that laid the groundwork for School of Leadership and made the vision of Shireen Naqvi, Kamran Rizvi and Saima Khan a reality.
